Troy Murphy earned his B.S. degree in Oceanography from UNC-Wilmington in 2014 where he focused on coastal shoreline environments and conducted research on geomorphology relative to beach nourishment on Wrightsville Beach, NC. Both semesters of his senior year at UNCW, Troy worked as an intern with the NC Division of Coastal Management in the Wilmington District office where he assisted with wetland delineations and the CAMA permitting process. Through this internship Troy discovered his passion for environmental consulting and ultimately lead him to Quible. Some of Troy’s experience includes CAMA Permits, USACE permits, Compensatory Mitigation, Wetland Assessments, SAV Survey’s, Environmental Assessments and Reports, and Well Monitoring.
Troy lives in Kill Devil Hills where he enjoys surfing, photography, and exploring the outdoors.
